When you receive your Da-Ju Kennel puppy/dog, you shall have 72 hours to bring said puppy/dog to your veterinarian for a health check. At any given time during your ownership of said puppy/dog, the owner of said puppy/dog shall be able to prove that proper veterinarian health care and records are being kept and maintained. The general health of said puppy/dog is guaranteed for 12 weeks after the transfer date. There are no other implied warranties beyond the 12 weeks except those listed below.
Da-Ju Kennel has a full hip and elbow guarantee. Hips and elbows are guaranteed up to the age of 30 months. Only x-rays read by the OFA between the ages of 24-30 months are valid for this guarantee. The following criteria must be met to provide a full guarantee:
It is felt that genetics play about a 30% role in the development of hip dysplasia. That means the new owners assume the remaining 70% of the risk through the diet, exercise, and environment they raise the puppy in.
Keep your puppy/dog thin.
No jumping over 2 foot height until the age of one year.
No long distance jogging or running until the puppy/dog reaches one year of age. Walks and swimming are fine.
Females and males must not be bred until after two years of age. Additionally they must not be bred until an OFA hip certification of fair, good, or excellent is given and a "clear " for the elbow is given from the OFA.
If a dysplastic hip or elbow should be found by a licensed veterinarian or any other genetic deformity, please notify us immediately. Da-Ju Kennel retains the right to have a second opinion from a veterinarian of their choice. Upon verification of the above health problems by the veterinarian chosen by Da-Ju Kennel, the puppy/dog owners shall have the right to keep the said puppy/dog or return it to Da-Ju Kennel for a replacement puppy/dog. If the puppy/dog is to be kept, then 1/2 of the full purchase price shall be refunded to the original owners of said puppy/dog after proof that the puppy/dog has been spayed or neutered. If a replacement is requested, this replacement puppy/dog shall come from the next available litter where an equal quality puppy/dog is available. Da-Ju Kennel shall assume all rights to the ill puppy/dog and shall determine its fate, considering it's overall health status.
Basic obedience training is necessary to promote socialization and the human/canine bond. A basic obedience course must be completed by one year of age. This obedience course requirement may be waived by Da-Ju Kennel, in writing, if under certain circumstances the said puppy/dogs emotional and socialization requirements are being met through other viable means.
Under no circumstances shall Da-Ju Kennel be held responsible or liable for any personal or property damages, including bites or other temperament issues, when said puppy/dog leaves our facility. Da-Ju Kennel entrusts the buyer to fulfill all necessary emotional, physical, and mental requirements needed to raise said puppy/dog. This includes proper obedience training, socialization, nutrition, health care, and promotion of responsible pet ownership.
Da-Ju Kennel cares about our puppy/dogs. We retain the first right of repurchase if, for any reason the owner does not want or can not keep and care for said puppy/dog.
We require our kennel name, "Da-Ju", be listed on all registration forms as part of the dogs official name and identification. All puppies shall be tattooed in the right ear and/or micro chipped before leaving our kennel for identification purposes.
There are no other implied or intended warranties or guarantees. The above guarantees are valid only to the original purchaser of said puppy/dog. If the puppy/dog is resold or given to a second party, all guarantees are void. The purchaser agrees that he/she understands this contract fully, and that this contract is under the jurisdiction of the State of Minnesota, in the county of Hennepin.
